ALL STYLES. ONE BLOCK. BEST WALK.
BEST WALK is a dance show for a new era. The idea is simple:
ALL STYLES: Flex, Tap, Tumble, Waack. All ages + styles welcome.
ONE BLOCK: Five dancers share the same block in the city, moving from one end to the other.
BEST WALK wins: we celebrate great style. That means execution, crowd work, and outfit all count.
WHO ARE WE SEEKING?
We’re seeking 20 dancers as diverse as New York City itself
for the first season of a new kind of dance show.
We want to hear from you if:
You are between 8 and 88.
Your passion for dance is unstoppable.
You’ve got style and a story to share with the world.
WHAT MAKES BEST WALK SPECIAL?
We’re tired of the corny, over-produced, inauthentic TV format.
We like seeing dancers of all ages, all body types, all orientations.
We’re as interested in who you are:
Your life, your work, your passions and sacrifices. What brought you here to this moment. And of course, how you move.
Our show is about the telling unexpected stories behind dancers in this amazing city.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Want to be part of Best Walk?
Start by sharing something about yourself.
If you’re selected, we’ll ask for a couple hours of your time to film and capture your story. This could be at work, at home, during your commute, or in a special outing. The goal is to tell a short narrative about each contestant in a creative and meaningful way.
We plan to film with as many contestants briefly before the main episodes begin.
Each competition will take place over a half-day filmed between late September and October.
