Creative Outreach Assistant
Wild Combination is looking for a smart, resourceful, social-media savvy person to help grow and promote our work. Our projects have been shared at film festivals and across the web. Now it’s time to grow our social presence and outreach.
Wild Combination is looking for a smart, resourceful, social-media-savvy person to help promote our work and identify new clients + opportunities. You’ll help film director (and founder of Wild Combo) Jacob Krupnick with research, outreach, and communication. You’ll help build our social presence, promote creative projects, and find new ways of building & connecting with our audience. If you’re interested in being a part of production, there’s room for that too.
The ideal person is smart, resourceful, perceptive, and excited to work in the arts. You communicate well, and with sensitivity to your medium -- whether it’s an email, a newsletter, or an Instagram caption. You bring energy and passion to your work. You love to learn, you’re organized, and you’re persistent. You’ve produced / built / shared things before -- could be a blog, a portfolio, a web series, an art show, a website.
This position is for 2 days / 16 hours a week. Our studio is in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Work can be remote some of the time, and expand if you want to be a part of productions.
Streamline our social presence and outreach by newsletter.
Identify new opportunities for upcoming & existing projects and spearhead outreach.
Research locations, potential clients, film festivals, partnerships.
Propose and implement social outreach through email newsletter, Instagram, and other platforms.
Stellar communication skills in person and in writing. You enjoy writing, and know how to adjust your tone for different audiences.
Experience with outreach or building an audience, at any scale.
Fluent in social platforms.
High attention to detail + organization. With social outreach, you’ll need to build a schedule that can be maintained.
Initiative & resourcefulness -- you don’t just sit quietly waiting for instructions.
Creative problem-solving skills.
A love of stories.
WHAT IT’LL BE LIKE TO WORK HERE:
We’re a small team that grows a bunch during productions. It’s mostly Jacob in the office, and sometimes our producer Taylor. We are intrinsically interested in helping people grow and learn from one another. We believe diversity is a strength + good meals with friends are a blessing.
In the studio, we like to share: music we’re feeling, short films we’ve come across, funny things my toddler says, dance videos that slay, feelings of political outrage, stories about great live experiences and shows we’ve seen. The vibe is warm + we welcome humor and sharing. If you want help learning, making, shooting films, we’d love to be an ally in that.
Also: we got unlimited Lacroix, nice snacks, and downstairs, there’s bike parking and a food court type of thing.
Please send a cover letter and links to some things you’ve built, written, posted, or made. Public social media links are useful. A resume / CV too.
